After driving down a long, winding dirt, sometimes could be called road, eventually you turn and see a small lime colored house. Outside is a little playground, a couple of bathrooms (which the longer you think about the worse they become,) a little roof with no walls for cooking food outside in a giant metal pot. The whole place is rather peaceful, you get a glorious view of the valleys and hills for miles around.

This was our Carepoint. Our team was tasked with staying at this Carepoint all week, the other teams had their own care points but on Tuesday and Thursday they join our crew at our Carepoint.

I am delighted to be able to work with the same kids all week, slowly but surely we are gaining the trust of the older kids, but it has taken no time at all to become best buds with the little ones.

Staying at one spot also has allowed us to get to know the Shepherd even more. Major, is a new shepherd, and we are his first World Race Squad. He has a great sense of humour, and is very sweet as well as easily embaressed, which some of us have used to its utmost potential of fun.

The trickiest part is getting all of their names straight. Now too be fair, we don’t speak the language they are speaking, and its not our fault their names use just about ever letter in the alphabet plus some extra. At one point we got some of them to write down their names, but that proved only more confusing.

We are getting there though, slowly but surely we are learning the names of those who come to our Carepoint. These kids fill my heart with joy and to be able to fill theirs up with some too has been an absoloute pleasure.
